Pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 679/2016 (GDPR), E.C.H.O. (European Confederation of Care Home Organisations) declares that it is the data controller indicated in the “Contact” section of this website. In compliance with the aforementioned regulatory provisions, E.C.H.O. uses and processes user data in relation to the purposes and with regard to the methods specified below.

“Processing” here means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, consultation, processing, modification, adaptation or alteration, selection, retrieval, consultation, comparison, use, interconnection, combination, blocking, communication, disclosure, dissemination, deletion and destruction, even if not recorded in a database.

The personal data will be processed manually or with the aid of computerized or electronic means in the following cases:
a) primary purposes aimed at enabling a subscription to the newsletter service;
b) communication and dissemination of personal data for the pursuit of the primary purposes of the processing.

In no case will personal or sensitive data be communicated or disclosed to third parties unless expressly authorized in advance.

With reference to Article 13 (1) point (d) of Regulation (EU) 679/2016 (GDPR) and the indication of the subjects or categories of subjects to whom the user’s personal data may be communicated to or may become aware of in their capacity as managers, supervisors, appointed representatives or appointees, the same data may be forwarded to and used by personnel or professionals of E.C.H.O. as well as transferred to third-party and external professionals exclusively for the purpose of carrying out strictly professional, business or corporate activities.
